| 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful  Works somewhat for CH Yoke and Pedals with gameport, = Fun: This review is from: USB to Gameport Adapter for Joysticks, Controllers, and Gamepads (Video Game) Well I tried each of the settings on the super joy box to get my old school gameport virtual pilot pro up and running again. In the calibration settings it would recognize the yoke x & y axis fine. Buttons 1 - 4 calibrated good and the pedals showed good for rudder control. It only showed calibration for 1 POV and somehow it's connected to the throttle so when I move the throttle in the game it looks around. In calibration the throttle axis(z) never showed any movement at all. I also couldn't get buttons 6-9 to work. When you push buttons 5 & 6 on the yoke it lights up multiple buttons at a time on 1-4 so they are useless.So to recap here's what I did get working: yoke steering, rudder control, trim up/down/left/right,and 4 buttons. If you can live with that like I can then buy this thing unless you know of something else that can deliver the whole enchilada. If you do comment on this review so I get an e-mail about it, thanks. So far it does not work with any of the games we have tried. However, I have this hooked up to a new system using Windows 7, and I'm not fully sure if it is a Windows 7 compatibility issue (not all the games are fully compatible) or just the adapter itself. It was worth a try for the money (hoping to avoid the need to purchase a new joystick). However, it looks like I'll need to buy a new joystick and hope that solves the problem. |
