| 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  Not worthy to accompany the superb Naga, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Razer Anansi MMO Gaming Keyboard - MAC Edition (RZ03-00551200-R3M1) (Personal Computers) I love the Naga mouse, its great Add-on for Warcraft, its feel and construction...and I was very excited when Razer announced the Mac version of the Anansi, waited months for them to produce it, and then I refused to buy it from Razer directly because their return policy is lousy. So hooray, Amazon finally has the product. As with all Razer products, very nicely boxed...too bad my N key was dead out of the box. I never got a chance to try the keyboard seriously first time around. Also I was immediately not impressed with the backlighting, it seems too dim on all the keys, but the Razer logo glows annoyingly bright on the bottom edge. If the keys could be half as bright it would be good. Also the font they chose for the letters on the keyboard is too modern and simply hard to recognize. I have been using a Logitech Mac edition of the diNovo, and its feel is far superior feel to the Anansi. I am getting a replacement, and I will give it a good test.And fortunately, as always... The top-3 flaws are:1. Keys are narrow and not responsive. Regular guys will miss keys, guys with large fingers will double-hit. But that's not all - often time you hit straight and nothing happens. You just can't type fast. It is as if the keyboard trails. 2. The colored keys are a total marketing farce. The only visible lighting is that of the (very small) Razer logo on the front of the keyboard. Unlike the BlackWidow which has great blue keys (and even great pulsation), the lights in the keys on the Anansi are nearly unnoticeable, even when the room is dimly lit. Too bad because I really wanted that. And worst of all, I never got the "programmable" keys to understand my Mac... 3. The keyboard takes up 2 USB slots and yet has no USB slot on it. I've been using it since November 2011. I have no issues with the changing colors. Both lower and upper case letters are illuminated, unlike the Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard-MAC (RZ03-00391300-R3M1) which only illuminate the lower case letters. The macros are easy to configure. There are two usb cables, not really an issue with an 8 port usb hub. |
