Dill (Jackson, TN) - See all my reviews This review is from: Super Nintendo Smartjoy SNES PC USB Controller Adapter Converter (Video Game) If you played the original SNES system, you will love this item. It works perfectly fine with my emulator, which is Snes9x. Using the old controller brings back great memories. The adapter is very sturdy and does not get hot. I personally did not have any problems with using my save and load hotkeys on my keyboard. The only thing I might complain about is the cord is a little short. It is no problem for any one who is playing games on their main computer. If you like to hook up you computer with the big TV though, then you might have to skoot up the couch a little bit. Other than that, everything is great. I highly suggest you buy this if you want the old fashion feel. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful = Fun: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Super Nintendo Smartjoy SNES PC USB Controller Adapter Converter (Video Game) This adapter and the SNES controller arrived super fast after I ordered them. The problem came in the fact that the right and down buttons were always active. A controller at rest on the X or Y axis regitered 1, left and up registered 0, and actually pushing right or down registered a 3. Traditionally rest should have been 0, left or up should be -1 and right or down should be 1 on the respective axis. As a result this item is unusable on both ZSNES and SNES9x on which I have tried to use it. I concede that I may have gotten a bad one, in which case it's just bad QC. I got mine in a manner that's nonreturnable, so I'm going to open mine up and see if there's any resistors or POTs I... Read more |
