ROCCAT Taito King-Size 3mm Shiny Black Gaming Mousepad (ROC-13-052)

Product Description

The ROCCAT Taito Shiny Black Gaming Mousepad features a unique, heat-blasted Nano Matrix surface that delivers maximum gliding speed in all directions - with optimal control - so you can turn up the heat on your opponents every game. And the Taito's shiny black surface not only looks elegant - its slick surface also allows for perfect tracking with any mouse sensor. CONQUER MORE WITH NANO SPEED AND PRECISION - Textile mousepads with a standard woven structure only offer effective gliding in one direction. The Taito is different: its heat-treated Nano Matrix construction delivers lightning-quick gliding on both the X and Y axis - without sacrificing any control. Plus, movement on the Y axis benefits from additional vertical stabilizing properties built into the Nano Matrix - which means up and down movement is always fast and rock steady. Up close the Nano advantage is easy to see. Each Taito provides a form fit to the playing surface, compensating for any unevenness on a gamer's desk - which means uninterrupted gliding on every surface. Players who prefer a lower mouse sensitivity - i.e., a lower dpi - will appreciate more room to move, while high-sense gamers who use upper range dpi settings will enjoy the smaller, space-saving Taito versions. PLAY WORRY FREE - The Taito's non-slip rubberized backing provides a steady grip during even the most hectic game. Even if you try moving it with your palm, the Taito won't budge. We've also ruggedized the Taito for extremely active play, giving it an exceptionally robust design built for a long gaming life. GAME WITH WHISPER-QUIET MOVEMENT - The heat-blasted Nano Matrix structure provides less friction, which means mouse movements can barely be heard. Nearby LAN opponents won't hear you attacking.

  • Heat-blasted Nano Matrix structure - for quick, precise and silent mouse movement in every direction
  • Non-slip backing with heavy-grip security - provides a surface that won't budge during hectic play
  • Rugged build - for a long life of extreme gaming

Customer Video Review Length:: 2:19 Mins

Here is a product that I've been playing around with for a few days and decided to make a small video. These are gaming lights from ambx that teamed up with Madcatz's Cyborg PC gaming division to create a 2 point lighting system for games, movies and music. I really love this set, though it's a 2 point lighting system, it would have been nice to have 3 lights. (left, right and center) The program is simple to use and works with every game, music player and movie player. This only works for PC and not for consoles. You can add more lights with a total of 9 lights and if you so want 3 lights per sector, total of 27 LIGHTS! Crazy! Not only does it work for games but you can also set it actions like getting a new email or instant message (setting a color for it) be in sync with you screen saver and setting a static color background. Nothing I can see bad or frustrating about this product other than the price, should have been at least 3 lights for $100

2.0 out of 5 stars You Want Them to Work, February 5, 2012

This review is from: Mad Catz Cyborg amBX Gaming Lights (CCB43521E002/04/1) (Personal Computers)
These lights seem awesome, and you would love for them to work, but but after days of trying to get them function with my system I finally gave up. I'm happy to spend a little time fiddling with a new device to get it up and running, but the software for this product is terrible. It's a real disappointment for what could be a really fun addition to you gaming rig. Don't waste your time on these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prosumer Studio Quality Headset, October 14, 2010

This review is from: Corsair CA-HS1NA Gaming Audio Series HS1 USB Gaming Headset (Personal Computers)
I've worked in studios and have demo'd TONS of audio gear over the years. I know what a good DAC (Digita-Analogue Converter) sounds like, and I know what a crappy one sounds like. Music is probably the hardest source material to be objective about when it comes to the listening experience -- everyone has their opinion, but almost nobody but studio rats really "get it" in terms of true flat response. Do these have perfect response? No. It's just not hyped sound -- there's no built in "smiley face" EQ or any nonsense coloring the sound. Well, actually, there is, but it's made to flatten the output as well as it can -- and it does. People complain about "harsh highs" listening to music with this headset...THEIR SOURCE MATERIAL IS LOW QUALITY! Of COURSE an over-compressed MP3 file is going to sound TERRIBLE on any halfway decent DAC. Throw in a good recording of something recently done on a CD or something of equal quality (nice M4A at 256kbps or equivalent) and you're golden... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Corsair built a top-notch headphone..., October 18, 2010

I'll give a more down to earth non-technical review ...

I was on the mission to find a do-all headphone. Quite impossible to do as I own many headphones. I have Bose noise canceling, Sure In-Ear, Grado's, Sony's and more. After reading tons of reviews, and very few reviews on the Corsairs it was a difficult choice. The main draw to the corsairs was the fact that corsair designed these headphones specifically for gaming and music listening. Go visit their website and watch their video. It is quite convincing... So I took the gamble and went for them.

** For Music **

When first installing them and listening I was quite disappointed... But wait!
Duh... mixer. What a world of a difference. And mind you that the mixer alone must be adjusted for all kinds of music.
If you just set it to one setting and listen to all sorts of genre's then you are in for bad listening.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good sounding, impressive headphones for the price, December 6, 2010
By
Daniel J. Divens (Portland, OR USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Corsair CA-HS1NA Gaming Audio Series HS1 USB Gaming Headset (Personal Computers)
I compared the Corsair HS1NA headphones against my Audio Technica ATH-M45 and a pair of American Audio HP 550's. I primarily use these as headphones and did not thoroughly test the microphone capabilities.

The Pros:
I immediately noticed how comfortable the Corsair headphones are to wear. The tension isn't too tight, and the velvet covered ear pieces are very soft. They wear snug enough to do a good job isolating the audio but do not feel too tight like many other noise isolating headphones. These can easily be worn for hours on end - this is not something I can do with my Audio Technica's or the American Audio's.

Sound quality is very, very good for this price range of headphone. I was impressed with how honest the playback was on my reference tracks with all settings baselined. Recording aside, I found the control panel and it's variety of spacial and EQ settings very cool. The mixer section allows you to mix in from 3 sources - Wave, Software Synth, and... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Meet My New Great Mouse, March 11, 2009
This review is from: Microsoft SideWinder X8 Mouse (Personal Computers)
This mouse is the best mouse I have owned and I like it better than any Logitech mouse. There I have said it.
To start off with this matches and compliments my Microsoft Sidewinder X6 keyboard. While this mouse is not for small hands, my hand is of normal size and the mouse feels good. The mouse comes with the Intellipoint software where you can really gear the mouse up as you would like. The X8 Mouse is a gaming cordless USB drive mouse with a round disk with one end plugged into a USB slot and then it gives a cord that rolls out from the disk that you attach to the base of the mouse when you want to recharge or use it as a corded mouse. It is the best of both worlds. No more swapping or changing batteries as the mouse can recharge from this method while you use it. When the included AA rechargable battery needs to be recharged the mouse pulsates its red color to let you know that it is time to recharge. There is even an On/Off switch to conserve batteries.
I have put... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent mouse with many unique features (Update), March 21, 2009
This review is from: Microsoft SideWinder X8 Mouse (Personal Computers)
I've had the Microsoft Sidewinder X8 for about a week now and so far I've been liking it. I previously used a Logitech MX518, and although it wasn't a bad mouse, it started wearing off and felt that it was time to get a new one. My top priorities for a new mouse were decent DPI, fits big hands well and relatively new with up to date technology. Through various reviews and browsing forums I concluded on getting the Microsoft Sidewinder mouse (its precursor). However, just when I was about to purchase the mouse, I heard Microsoft was coming up with an updated version next month. So I waited.

The major differences between the Sidewinder X8 and the Sidewinder are increased DPI (from 2000 to 4000), wireless, and lack of adjustable weights. I was quite surprised to not see adjustable weights but it is not something I worry about. Some gamers might question the wireless on a gaming mice due to lag but Microsoft has stated they did intensive testing and found no difference in... Read more

I got this mouse with the hope of having more control with my right hand. More buttons that I could program. It's not a bad mouse, but could use some redesigning. I actually prefer my original wireless mouse. the Logitec Logitech MediaPlay Cordless Mouse- Blue. It has two easy-to-target, programable, thumb buttons, and two not so easy to target dedicated volume control buttons. It also has next song/ last song control on the right.
The Sidewinder has two easy-to-target, programable, thumb buttons, and one difficult to target dedicated button. Most of the buttons on this mouse are already predetermined. You have Left, right, and center click, as well as scroll wheel (which is also the center button) that has left/right tilting, and two North/South thumb buttons. You also get a hard to hit thumb button (not sure what it does yet, but... Read more
