I just wanted to make sure any future buyers that plan on using for xbox360 understand that you have to go to turtlebeach.com and buy their xbox cable kit for 20 + shipping in addition to the cost of the headphones. I was really wanting to use these today and being that amazon does not sell the cables or the kit, I have to wait for turtle beach to process and ship which could be 7 more days. Will add more to this review once I get to actually use them.Edit: Cable kit through turtle beach is on back order. What a great program. It's like a scratch and dent sale and with Prime, I was offered next day delivery for like $3!!! The product arrived in great shape exactly as described as a "repackage" which in my case was an original box with the seals broken and then taped with a circular Amazon Warehouse sticker to reseal the box. All the parts and the literature were included even the sticker!As for the headset itself, this is my first Turtle Beach product and having come from a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Arena which at the two year mark decided to break off at the ear cup, I am not at all unhappy. The first thing that I noticed is the feel of the unit in your hands. It has a solid feel, like it's built well. The teaser graphics you will see that make the unit look like it is glowing green. One thing that I havr to twll you is that the ear cups are very large and compared to my old x1's they are gigantic. The volume control and quick diaconnect are also not small, if you sit in a computer chair you will notice the volume box hangs at about the level of the seat and can catch if you lean back. Played bf3 with 5.1 and not looking back, every shot and every tank round is real and improves the overall expirence. For xbox 360 users: I bought an adapter and a 5.1 converter from rca.to 3.5mm so that I do not have to switch inputs from computer to xbox, also, it sounds tbe same as x1's stereo headset... But for the same price jump for these. |
