To correctly install the driver you have to follow these steps:
1.Right click on Computer
2.Go to Properties
3.Click on Device Manager
4.Right click on the Unidentified Device
5.Go to Properties
6.Go to the Drive tab
7.Click on Update Driver...
8.Browse my computer for driver software
9.Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
10.Microsoft Common Controller for Window Class

13.Click Yes

This one works just fine for connecting my boyfriend's xbox 360 wireless remote to his computer. The installation instructions that are on the CD don't apply to Vista, or maybe you have to install two drivers. Either way, I tried to get it to work by following only the directions listed on the CD and it wouldn't work. After an hour of messing around with it, I went on to Amazon to see if anyone else had posted in their reviews how to get the device to work and realized the instructions for Vista are listed on the device's Amazon page. Reposted below.
