I'm constantly getting no space because it strikes both sides, neither with enough force to registers. Irritating.More irritating was Antonline refusal of my RMA because I had opened the bag for the wrist rest. That's the only thing that prevented it from being "brand new" per their criteria. They suck- never use them. The quality of the keyboard is generally good, the software is good if they had put that split in a less awkward place the concept of replaceable key set is a winner. Sadly I couldn't find an example to try at a store or something before I bought it because I'm disappointed. It was an expensive keyboard (1st one I've purchased) and I don't really like it. The interchangeable keysets made this purchase very worthwhile for me(a Starcraft/WoW player). I upgraded it with each WoW expansion. With cataclysm I bought the new keyset, and put it on my zboard. I had to uninstall the zboard software and install the steelseries engine. This took several tries before it took. I felt I was missing some of the functionality because the cataclysm board was actually made to be compatible with the shift keybase. I bought a Shift, and the problems just keep mounting. The delete key stops working at random intervals. The space bars do not work correctly. The chat keys do not open the right chats, and cause the character and screen to jump. The hot keys that steelseries is so proud of cause the entire keyset to shut down (they switch off the steel series engine). I have installed and reinstalled the software a dozen times, as an administrator. I have used steel series' firmware fix tool over a dozen times, to no avail. I do not recommend this product to anyone I will be asking for a refund as soon as I can get this... Read more |
